First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has appealed to Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu’s bid for another term in office, saying she is looking forward to a better Nigeria as she grows older.
The Remi Tinubu second term appeal was made on Wednesday during her engagement with Catholic mothers in Imo State, where she asked Nigerians to continue praying for the President and his administration.
The First Lady said the government was working towards improving the country and expressed a personal desire to see the results of those efforts in the years ahead.
She said she was also preparing for her own future and hoped to enjoy the benefits of a better Nigeria after years of public service.
Remi Tinubu also addressed concerns about the length of President Tinubu’s stay in office, making it clear that his political ambition was limited to the constitutionally permitted two terms.
According to her, Nigerians should support the President for a second term because the administration does not intend to seek a third term.
She said the government had been working from the beginning of the administration and had moved quickly to implement its plans.
The First Lady urged Nigerians to keep supporting the President, while assuring them that the administration would continue its efforts to improve the country.
She further stressed that the Tinubu administration was not seeking to remain in power indefinitely, adding that both she and the President would eventually step aside after completing their permitted terms.
Remi Tinubu’s comments come as political discussions around the 2027 presidential election continue to gather momentum across the country.
