Telecommunications firm, Globacom, yesterday, in Ibadan, Oyo State, and Onitsha, Anambra State, made two more subscribers owners of brand new cars, as its customer appreciation promo, Joy Unlimited Extravaganza, hit the cities.

The Ibadan car winner, 53-year-old auto mechanic, Mutiu Owolabi, could not control the tears of joy that cascaded down his face, as he received the car keys from Oyo State Deputy Governor Rauf Olaniyan and the company’s State Regional Activations Manager, Abidemi Emmanuel, at Idi Ape Gloworld in Ibadan.

In Onitsha, 23-year-old businessman, Anierobi Chinedu John, got his brand new Kia Rio car from the Anambra State Commissioner for Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs, Lady Ndidi Mezue and Globacom’s Regional Manager, Mike Ehumadu.

Fifty-one other winners of household appliances, including television sets, power generators and refrigerators, also expressed gratitude to the firm, as they received their prizes in Ibadan, while 41 other winners were given the items they won at the Onitsha presentation.

A generator winner, 34-year-old trader Bello Oluwarinumi, said: “All I needed to complete my shop was a power generator. I just ended an eight-day fasting asking God to give me an end of the year gift when the call came from Glo that I won a generator.”

In the same vein, Rasheed Aweda Sunday, a 29 year- old mechanic, who won a refrigerator, said he was in his workshop when he received a call that he won. “I am too happy for words. May God continue to bless Globacom,” he said.

Glo’s Ibadan representative, Emmanuel, disclosed that the next set of presentations would hold in Kaduna and Uyo on December 23, while the Oyo capital would host another round of winners on December 29 alongside Warri, Delta State.

The city of Ilorin, Kwara State comes next on January 6 before returning to Cele-Okota, Lagos on January 13, 2022. The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is poised for the second presentation on January 20 and back to Adeola Odeku, Victoria Island, Lagos for the grand finale on January 27.
