Transformation College graduates from Nigeria, Malawi and Uganda have completed the institution’s 2026 Summer Diploma Programme following a virtual ceremony held on Saturday, September 5, 2026.
The three-hour graduation ceremony brought together graduands, their families and trainers from different parts of Africa, highlighting the growing reach of the college’s tuition-free and fully online learning model.
None of the graduands paid tuition for the programme.
Participants joined the ceremony from Lagos, Jos South in Plateau State, Warri in Delta State, Benin City, Damaturu in Yobe State, Ibadan, Ondo and Abuja, while others participated from Malawi and Uganda.
Among the graduands were Maria Mussah and Alexander Mtirah, a husband-and-wife couple from Malawi, who completed the programme together.
The online diploma programme uses continuous assessment throughout the period of study. During the graduation, students reported different attendance levels, ranging from about 50 per cent to full participation.
Most of the graduands said they completed all the required assessments, while one participant disclosed that 45 of the 48 assessments had been completed.
ISO standards, AI dominate learning experience
When asked which areas of the curriculum had made the biggest impact on them, the graduands highlighted ISO management-system standards, followed by artificial intelligence, business analysis, project management and personal excellence.
One of the graduates, Ismail Sorunke from Ondo State, recommended the inclusion of ISO 26000 in future editions of the programme to provide broader coverage of social responsibility under the Environmental, Social and Governance framework.
Another graduand, Gyang Bot Sylvanus from Jos South, said he was leaving the programme as a diploma holder in business analysis.
The college said certificates would be delivered electronically to graduands who completed the required clearance process.
Graduands applaud trainers
The ceremony also became a moment for students to appreciate the trainers and staff who guided them through the programme.
Several names were mentioned during the virtual event, including Sola, Segun Lawal, Bolaji, Jumoke, Vincent, Damilare, Mofe, Tinuke, Obinna, Feyisayo and Tobi.
Graduands praised the facilitators for their professional knowledge and commitment to helping students complete their studies.
Nike Nwobodo described the facilitators as highly grounded in their respective fields, while Aihanuwa Okungbowa said the number of people deserving recognition was too large to mention individually within the available time.
Special praise was reserved for Merci, the college’s School Administrator, for her regular reminders and follow-up with students.
Rick Godwin Edward, who participated from Uganda, said Merci’s consistent encouragement helped him remain committed to the programme during difficult periods.
Sylvanus also recalled how she helped him continue his studies after his WhatsApp stopped working by sending assignments to him through email.
Other members of the college team recognised during the ceremony included Edith Ugochukwu, Director of Programmes; Boma Al Onyanabo, General Manager; Adedamola Gboshe, Academic Coordinator; and Emmanuel Sinuola, IT Manager.
Founder urges graduates to take action
The founder of Transformation College, Dr Orlando Olumide Odejide, urged the graduates to move beyond acquiring certificates by putting their newly gained knowledge into practical use.
His call prompted more than 15 graduands to respond within about 90 seconds by repeatedly typing, “I will start now” in the virtual meeting chat.
Guest speakers Babatope Makun and Lydia Quayson Adeji also addressed the graduating class and provided practical resources, including a personal development video library, a platform for verified global employment opportunities and a newly launched product.
Transformation College was established on the belief that the cost of education should not prevent people from accessing quality learning opportunities.
The institution operates as a tuition-free, fully virtual and pan-African college and holds ISO 9001 certification for quality management and ISO 27001 certification for information security.
Since its establishment, the college said it has reached more than 2,000 learners through nine programmes, with support from a faculty of more than 30 trainers.
Its learners and graduates are located across Nigeria and other African countries, while its programmes cover fields including business analysis, project management, information systems and artificial intelligence.
Despite offering tuition-free programmes, the college maintains attendance requirements, compulsory assessments and a clearance process before certificates are issued.
The institution says the free nature of its programmes does not amount to lower academic standards, as students are still required to satisfy the necessary academic requirements.
Speaking during the ceremony, Ugochukwu encouraged guests and graduands to support the college’s foundation so it can expand access to quality education for underserved communities across Africa.
Graduates were also encouraged to join the institution’s alumni community, which brings together former students from different cohorts and countries.

Next Transformation College intake
The college’s next admission cycle is expected to open in November, with four programmes available: Entrepreneurship and Business Management, Diploma in Information Systems, Certified AI Business Analyst and AI Automation Specialist.
The programmes are expected to remain tuition-free and fully online, with applications open to learners across Africa who are prepared to meet the required academic standards.
As the virtual ceremony came to a close, one of the graduands, writing under the name Kachi, congratulated the graduating class on reaching the milestone.
