Transformation College of Business & Technology (TCBT) has hosted its 2026 Mentor’s Day, bringing together students, professionals, and aspiring leaders across Africa and beyond for a virtual session focused on entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence and professional development.
Held on Friday, June 12, 2026, under the theme “From Knowledge to Legacy: Shaping the Leaders of Tomorrow,” the event explored how individuals can build purpose-driven careers and create lasting impact in an era shaped by rapid technological transformation.
The programme featured a keynote session by Adenike Omojokun, a Strategic Technology Leader and AI and Cloud Transformation Advocate with more than 15 years of experience supporting organisations in using technology to drive growth.

Omojokun, who has worked with global technology companies including Microsoft and Hitachi, brought a combination of professional experience, strategic insight and personal reflections to the discussion, sharing lessons from her career journey, including challenges, setbacks and key moments of growth.
Her session focused on practical lessons for professionals seeking to navigate an increasingly competitive and technology-driven world.
Participants were encouraged to view failure as part of the growth process, with Omojokun emphasising that setbacks can provide valuable lessons on the path to success.
She also highlighted resilience as a critical professional skill, noting that consistency and the ability to keep moving forward often distinguish successful individuals in demanding environments.

The technology leader stressed the importance of personal presentation and branding, explaining that how individuals present themselves can influence professional opportunities and perceptions.
She further emphasised that digital and artificial intelligence literacy have become essential skills for the next generation of African professionals, urging participants to embrace emerging technologies such as AI, cloud computing and digital platforms.
Omojokun advised participants to focus on their personal journeys rather than comparing their progress with others, encouraging them to build at their own pace while remaining committed to growth.
She also highlighted the importance of mentorship, urging professionals to seek guidance from individuals who can challenge them, expand their vision and support their development.
The keynote speaker reminded participants that personal wellbeing remains essential for long-term success, stressing the need to prioritise health while pursuing career goals.

She encouraged continuous learning, describing adaptability and a commitment to acquiring new knowledge as important advantages in a rapidly changing world.
Omojokun also advised participants to take calculated risks, noting that meaningful achievements often require informed decisions and the courage to pursue opportunities.
She further urged professionals to use their time intentionally, focusing on activities that build skills, create value and contribute to personal and professional growth.
“You are not behind. You are on your path. But that path requires your full attention, your best effort, and the wisdom to learn from everyone further along the road than you,” Omojokun said.
TCBT said Mentor’s Day reflects its mission of providing professional education that goes beyond qualifications by preparing individuals to lead in organisations, communities and across the continent.
The institution said the engagement created an opportunity for participants to connect with global professional experience while gaining practical insights into leadership, technology and career development.

TCBT expressed appreciation to Omojokun, participants and staff members who contributed to the success of the event, describing the 2026 edition as a milestone in its commitment to developing future-ready professionals.
