Nwoko has refuted recent rumors claiming he plans to marry Ike as his seventh wife and that she is expecting his child. The speculation grew following the silence of his wife, Regina Daniels, who deactivated her Instagram account, fueling further public curiosity.
In a statement released by his Director of Communications on Monday and posted on Nwoko’s Instagram page, along with photos of the senator and Regina, the rumors were dismissed as “entirely baseless” and labeled as malicious speculation. The public was urged to disregard these claims.
Chika Ike, addressing the rumors on her own Instagram, clarified that any mention of Senator Ned Nwoko as the father of her child was nothing more than a baseless guess. She wrote, “There have been all sorts of lies spread about me in the media for years, but I’ve always treated them for what they are—rumors that don’t warrant a response.”
She further urged those spreading the false news to continue digging, stating that she is simply enjoying the joy of her pregnancy, and that is her main focus.
