Ayra Starr outshined Nigerian artists Asake and Tems at the 2025 MOBO Awards, held in Newcastle, United Kingdom. The Nigerian superstar made history by winning two awards at the event, becoming the first woman in 16 years to achieve this feat.
Ayra Starr took home the Best International Act award, making her the first African female artist to win this honor. She now joins the ranks of Nigerian icons Wizkid and Burna Boy as one of the select few Nigerian artists to win the prestigious British award.
