Nigerian comedian and content creator Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, has opened up about a difficult period when he struggled financially and had to seek help from friends and associates.
Mr Macaroni shared the experience while reflecting on messages from people he had previously helped. He said the messages left him emotional and reminded him of the support he received during his own difficult moments.
Mr Macaroni speaks about financial hardship
The comedian said he was accustomed to helping others but often found it difficult to ask for assistance when he needed it.
According to him, his financial situation became so difficult in recent years that he had to borrow money and seek support from people around him.
He said there was a point when he felt he was close to giving up.
Mr Macaroni also revealed that one person eventually helped him clear his outstanding debts.
He did not disclose the person’s identity, saying the individual would not be pleased if he publicly revealed their name.
The content creator described the assistance as repeated support that came at a time when he desperately needed it.
Don Jazzy, Osimhen supported him
Mr Macaroni expressed appreciation to several people who stood by him during his difficult period.
He specifically mentioned music executive Don Jazzy, saying the music boss had supported him since his university days.
He also thanked Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen and Pastor Bolaji for their support.
Mr Macaroni said the help he received gave him hope when he felt his situation had reached a breaking point.
‘I will never regret helping others’
Despite the financial challenges he experienced, Mr Macaroni said he has no regrets about helping people.
He said the difficult period taught him important lessons and gave him a clearer perspective on life.
The comedian also thanked people who had previously benefited from his kindness and later shared their experiences.
He said those messages made him emotional because he did not remember many of the things he had done for others.
Mr Macaroni has previously spoken about his financial struggles and has also supported causes and institutions connected to his career.
He said he remains grateful for the experiences that shaped him and the people who stood by him when he needed help.
