Transformation College 2026 Mentors’ Day
Transformation College will host its 2026 Mentors’ Day on October 1.

Transformation College of Business & Technology (TC) is set to host its 2026 Mentors’ Day on Thursday, October 1, as part of activities to celebrate Nigeria’s 66th Independence anniversary.

The free virtual programme, themed “Leadership, Innovation and the Next Generation of Change-Makers,” will connect young professionals, students, mentors, business leaders and organisations from across Africa.

The 2026 Mentors’ Day will begin at 11:00am West Africa Time (WAT) and will take place via Zoom. Members of the public can participate at no cost.

2026 Mentors’ Day to spotlight leadership and innovation

The event will feature presentations from Transformation College Founder and Proprietor, Dr. Orlando Olumide Odejide, and Founder of TEMCA Women Network, Dr. Chinwe Sophia Onuorah.

The speakers are expected to discuss leadership, innovation and how young Africans can contribute to the development of Nigeria and the wider continent.

Odejide said the Independence anniversary offers an opportunity to consider how young people can be prepared to take responsibility for the country’s future.

“Independence was won by people who believed a greater Nigeria was possible. Sixty-six years on, the task is to equip the people who will build it,” he said.

He added that the 2026 Mentors’ Day would create an opportunity for experienced professionals to engage directly with young people seeking guidance and career growth.

According to him, investing in people remains an important way to mark the country’s Independence anniversary.

College to unveil three new programmes

Transformation College will also use the event to officially introduce three new academic programmes.

They include:

  • AI Business Analyst and AI Automation Specialist
  • Entrepreneurship & Business Management
  • Diploma in Information Systems

The College said the programmes will be taught online by industry professionals and will be offered without tuition fees, in line with its existing model.

The institution is also inviting companies and organisations to participate in the event and connect with emerging talent.

Businesses will have opportunities to network with learners, discuss partnerships and sponsorships, provide mentors and speakers, and explore internship and graduate placement opportunities.

Transformation College expands tuition-free education

The 2026 Mentors’ Day comes as Transformation College continues to grow its virtual education model across Africa.

Founded by Odejide, the College operates as a fully virtual pan-African institution offering tuition-free diploma programmes.

It holds ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management and ISO 21001:2018 certification for educational organisations.

The College said more than 2,000 students participated across nine programmes in 2025, supported by over 30 trainers.

Its 2026 graduating class included learners from Nigeria, Malawi and Uganda.
