Sultan of Sokoto Announces Start of Ramadan Fasting in Nigeria
The Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence Sa’ad Abubakar, has officially declared that Ramadan fasting will begin on Saturday, March 1st in Nigeria. The announcement was made during a live broadcast on Friday evening after the new moon of Ramadan was sighted in multiple regions across the country.
A member of the Caliphate, Simwal, had earlier hinted that the official declaration would come around 8 PM, which aligns with the Sultan’s broadcast. His Eminence concluded with the message “Ramadan Kareem” on X.
