The Nigerian Railway Corporation is raising the alarm over repeated attacks on trains along the Abuja–Kaduna line.
Officials say vandals are now targeting moving trains and it infrastructure, with the latest incident damaging a locomotive after stones were thrown at it.
The NRC warns these attacks are putting lives at risk and threatening a key national transport system, as cases spread across several locations in just two weeks.
It is now calling on communities and security agencies to step in and help protect railway infrastructure.
