Sean “Diddy” Combs faces ongoing legal battles as his projected prison release date changes again.

American music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs will now leave prison in March 2028, following another change to his release date. The Diddy prison release date has reportedly shifted for the ninth time, adding 41 days to his previously listed release date.

The Federal Bureau of Prisons previously listed January 21, 2028, as his release date. The latest update now shows March 2, 2028. However, the bureau has not publicly explained the latest adjustment.

The development comes amid fresh scrutiny of Diddy’s prison conditions, ongoing legal battles and a dispute over unpaid legal fees.

Diddy’s Prison Conditions Under Fresh Scrutiny

A report by NBC recently examined Diddy’s life inside Fort Dix federal prison in New Jersey. Four inmates who reportedly shared a unit with him described what they claimed were special arrangements for the music executive.

According to the report, some inmates received money from people outside the prison. They allegedly used the funds to cook meals, provide massages and handle other chores for Diddy.

NBC’s footage also appeared to show him using a phone that was not permitted under prison rules. Sources further alleged that he used the device to view nude photographs.

However, Diddy’s representative disputed the suggestion that he had violated prison rules. His spokesman said the rapper had followed the rules while awaiting a decision on his appeal.

Reports also indicated that prison officials moved him from his unit after the story emerged. He was reportedly placed in solitary confinement.

Why Diddy Is Serving a Prison Sentence

Diddy is serving a 50-month sentence following his conviction on two counts under the Mann Act. The convictions relate to transporting people across state lines for prostitution.

However, the jury acquitted him of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking charges. His legal team continues to challenge the convictions through an appeal.

The outcome could affect his legal position and the length of time he remains in prison.

Diddy Faces Another Legal Fee Dispute

The music mogul is also dealing with a dispute involving the law firm Sher Tremonte.

The firm has asked a court for permission to withdraw from two civil matters involving Diddy. These include the lawsuit connected to producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones and Diddy’s case against Nexstar.

According to court filings cited in the report, the firm says Diddy has failed to pay its fees and has not communicated directly with it for several months.

Firm partner Michael Tremonte reportedly stated that Diddy had made no payments to the firm for more than six months. The firm also wants to retain its case files until the outstanding bill is resolved.

Diddy disputes the firm’s position. He claims it charged him for work he had not authorised. The disagreement over legal fees remains unresolved.

Judge Orders Diddy to Pay NBCUniversal $477,700

Another setback came in Diddy’s legal battle with NBCUniversal.

A judge ordered him to pay $477,700.50 in legal fees after dismissing his $100 million lawsuit against the company.

Diddy had sued over Peacock’s documentary, Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy. He argued that the programme falsely connected him to murder and sexual offences.

NBCUniversal initially sought $990,292 in legal fees. However, the judge reduced the amount before issuing the order.

The decision leaves Diddy facing a substantial legal bill as he continues to challenge his criminal convictions and manage other court cases.

According to the report, NBCUniversal’s lawyers have 10 days from the entry of the order to submit a proposed judgment setting out the amount owed.

Diddy’s Release Date Remains Under Attention

The latest Diddy prison release date update adds to the uncertainty surrounding his time in federal custody. His appeal remains pending, while his legal team faces internal disputes and several civil cases continue.

The Bureau of Prisons has not explained why it moved his projected release date from January 21 to March 2, 2028.

Until officials provide further clarification, the reason for the latest adjustment remains unclear. The music mogul’s legal challenges and prison status will continue to draw attention as his appeal progresses.
