During a recent interview, Lande revealed that his wife left him after he uncovered her alleged infidelity, claiming that at least 21 men from the entertainment industry were involved with her. Popular Yoruba Nollywood actor, Babatunde Tayo, also known as Baba Tee, has since retracted his previous statements and admitted to having a “short” sexual encounter with Dara, the wife of comedian and skit maker Ganiyu Morufu, aka Lande.
Lande had previously accused his wife of infidelity, citing the involvement of at least 21 men in the entertainment world. However, Baba Tee responded by denying any affair with Lande’s wife, stating that he had only met her once—last year—through actress Marygold.
Baba Tee made the revelation during a live interview with socialite Esabod and other TikTok personalities on Sunday. In a surprising turn of events, Baba Tee later admitted to sleeping with Lande’s wife, claiming it was a brief and unintended encounter that occurred because he was intoxicated while playing a game of ‘Truth or Dare’ with Dara and Marygold.
The 45-year-old actor explained that Marygold had introduced Dara to him as a content creator and aspiring artist, not as Lande’s wife. He only realized her true identity after overhearing a conversation between her and Marygold. Baba Tee further clarified, “When Marygold and Dara came to my house, she (Marygold) told me she wanted me to be an MC for an upcoming event of hers. She never mentioned she was bringing anyone with her. She introduced Dara as a content creator, not as Lande’s wife. Then they started asking if I had a connection in Qatar, and that’s when the suggestion of ‘Truth or Dare’ came up.”
According to Baba Tee, Marygold dared Dara to engage in a “quick” sexual encounter with him, and she agreed. “The reason I initially denied sleeping with Lande’s wife was because Marygold didn’t introduce her as his wife—she introduced her as a content creator. I’m not denying that I had a brief sexual encounter with her. This is the first time I’m admitting it. Now I realize it was all a setup by both of them to tarnish my image,” he confessed.
He continued, “Once the game started, Marygold went completely naked and kept daring me to do things to Dara while she continued drinking alcohol, choosing not to complete the tasks I set for her. Instead of throwing more ‘Truth’ questions at me, they kept giving me ‘Dare’ challenges.”
After the interview, Baba Tee posted a brief message on his official Facebook page on Monday, apologizing to Lande. “I am deeply sorry from the bottom of my heart, brother Lande. I never knew how Dara became your wife… Hmmm. I fear women,” he wrote.
