Trump backs Netanyahu over Iran campaign
Trump has urged Israeli voters to re-elect Netanyahu and continue the campaign against Iran.

US President Donald Trump has renewed his endorsement of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, urging Israeli voters to return him to office and calling on Israel to complete its military campaign against Iran.

Trump made the remarks in a post on his Truth Social platform on Sunday, October 25, reiterating his support for Netanyahu and highlighting their cooperation in the conflict with Iran.

He also referred to an endorsement letter he released on October 18, in which he described Netanyahu as an outstanding wartime leader and a strong partner in confronting Tehran.

Trump Praises Netanyahu’s Role in Iran Conflict

In his latest message, Trump said he and Netanyahu had maintained a strong relationship while pursuing their military objectives against Iran.

He cited the US military operation known as Operation Epic Fury as an example of their cooperation.

Trump also claimed that Iran had suffered major military and economic setbacks. He said the country had lost its navy and air force, while its military and economy were in disarray.

The US president further alleged that Iran’s inflation had reached 301% and that a naval blockade had prevented it from exporting oil. He also claimed that two levels of Iran’s military and civilian leadership had been eliminated.

These figures and battlefield assessments were presented as Trump’s claims in his post.

‘Vote for Bibi Netanyahu’

Trump directly appealed to Israeli voters to support Netanyahu in the country’s upcoming election.

“Vote for Bibi Netanyahu for Prime Minister. We have to finish the job that we started!” he wrote.

His statement linked Netanyahu’s political future to the continuation of the campaign against Iran, reinforcing his public support for the Israeli leader.

Trump had made similar arguments in his October 18 letter to the Israeli public. In that message, he praised Netanyahu as a “Great Warrior Prime Minister” and an “even greater Partner for Peace”.

He argued that Iran had posed a longstanding threat to Israel and the United States, claiming that confronting Tehran was necessary to prevent it from acting on its threats.

Trump Warns Against Replacing Netanyahu

In the earlier letter, Trump suggested that the United States could face greater responsibility for the campaign against Iran if Israeli voters chose another prime minister.

“If Israel has the wrong Leader, which would be anyone other than Bibi, America will have to do this work ourselves, and I am not inclined to do so,” he wrote.

Trump also praised Netanyahu’s resilience amid domestic and international criticism, portraying the Israeli leader as a dependable partner for Washington.

He concluded the letter with an emphatic endorsement of Netanyahu’s bid for another term, declaring: “BIBI NETANYAHU WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!”
