This comes following moves by some ward executives to sack him from being the party chairman. Recently some ward executives from Gargari ward in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area signed an allegiance to sack from being the state party chairman.

However speaking with newsmen today, Dungurawa stated that they don’t have the authority to expel him, because he is also a member of the party’s National Executive Committee.

“This is not their right to expel me. I am also a member of the National Executive Committee of the party, and they cannot override that authority,” his words.

Dungurawa also revealed that some persons are now parading themselves as leaders of the party. He promised to take legal action against them.

“We will arrest them for impersonation for parading themselves as leaders of the NNPP,” Dungurawa said.

Dungurawa, had earlier pleaded with the Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf not to switch from the NNPP. He added that there has been development in the NNPP since his plea with the governor.

“Since the appeal I made to Governor Yusuf not to dump the party, there has been development. God willing, he will not defect,” he added.
