Transformation College of Business & Technology (TCBT) has launched four tuition-free diploma programmes as part of activities marking Nigeria’s 66th Independence anniversary.
The college unveiled the programmes during its 2026 Mentors’ Day held virtually on October 1. The event brought together students, alumni and prospective learners from across Africa and the diaspora.
The newly launched programmes are AI Business Analyst, AI Automation Specialist, Entrepreneurship & Business Management, and Information Systems.
TCBT launches four tuition-free programmes
The four programmes will run fully online through live Zoom classes. Learners will also receive recordings of the sessions after each class.
The AI programmes will begin on Friday, October 9. Entrepreneurship & Business Management and Information Systems will start on Saturday, October 10.
According to the college, the programmes are open to learners in any country.
Each diploma follows a three-semester structure with 15 credits. Students progress through a Fundamentals Certificate, an Intermediate Certificate and the Summer Diploma Programme.
The college said students only pay a one-time registration fee. The payment can also be spread across the semesters.
The AI Business Analyst programme covers data analysis, requirements gathering, process modelling and business cases using AI. It also includes training in AI ethics, governance and risk.
The AI Automation Specialist programme focuses on prompt engineering, no-code and low-code automation, AI agents, chatbots, data integration and API integration. The programme is also open to beginners.
Entrepreneurship & Business Management targets aspiring entrepreneurs, small business owners, job seekers, team leaders and creatives.
The Information Systems programme is designed for school leavers, graduates, working professionals and people interested in cybersecurity and data careers.
Dr Chinwe Onuorah challenges young Nigerians
The Mentors’ Day featured Dr Chinwe Sophia Onuorah as the guest mentor.
Onuorah is a change and programme transformation leader with expertise in AI adoption and governance. She is also the founder of TEMCA Women Network, a Canadian community for women building careers in technology and artificial intelligence.
Speaking from Toronto, she urged young Nigerians to rethink their understanding of leadership.
She said leadership does not start when a person receives a major title.
Instead, she encouraged participants to take responsibility and create value wherever they find themselves.
Onuorah also shared her career journey, which moved through sales, business development, project management, product management and change management before her work in AI governance.
She encouraged learners who are changing careers not to fear starting again.
“Starting again is not starting from zero,” she told participants.
She also introduced a four-part framework: Learn, Build, Serve and Lift.
She challenged the participants to learn something deliberately, build something useful, serve someone or a community and help another person before the end of 2026.
TCBT promotes skills-based education
TCBT Founder and Proprietor, Dr Orlando Olumide Odejide, said the college was created to address the need for practical skills-based education.
Odejide said technical knowledge alone was not enough to prepare young people for successful careers.
He explained that the college uses Mentors’ Day to expose students to accomplished professionals whose experiences can guide their personal and professional development.
The October event marked the fourth edition of the initiative.
Previous mentors have included professionals based in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom.
The college also highlighted its ISO 9001 and ISO 21001 certifications and its three-semester diploma pathway.
TCBT said its programmes are designed to provide practical, job-ready skills in business, technology and artificial intelligence.
Its learners include secondary school leavers, NYSC members, graduates and working professionals across Nigeria and other African countries.
