The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Amuwo Odofin Local Government gathered for a critical LGA party meeting, with key political figures and grassroots members in attendance on Thursday 6th of March, 2025, at 112 road, Festac Town, Lagos State.
The meeting, a significant step in strengthening the party’s presence at the local level, was marked by a robust discussion on the party’s strategic direction.
Comrade Ayodele Adewale, the APC Lagos State Organizing Secretary, addressed the gathering alongside others, briefing party members on the party’s plans at both the Federal and State levels. His speech focused primarily on the forthcoming party membership registration exercise, urging all members to ensure they come prepared with their National Identification Number (NIN) card and INEC Voters Card. He said this is to ensure that only Nigerians are registered with the party. This, he explained, is crucial for updating party records and ensuring a more accurate national data base for government planning and policy-making.
In a passionate appeal, Adewale emphasized the importance of continued support for APC leadership, particularly President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, President and Commander in Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces and Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, Executive Governor of Lagos State. He stressed that party members must actively participate in the registration process, which is seen as vital for the APC’s future electoral success.
Comrade Adewale also extended greetings to both the Christian and Muslim communities, calling on all citizens to use the period of Lent and Ramadan as an opportunity for spiritual reflection and prayer for the nation’s continued progress.
The meeting was marked by an energetic reception for Comrade Adewale, who was greeted with traditional drums and cheers. Expressing his gratitude, Comrade Adewale commended the leadership of the APC in Amuwo Odofin Local Government, particularly Mr. Ayo Ogungbiye and members of his executive and all Apex leaders, for their unwavering dedication to the party’s. He praised their efforts in maintaining unity and ensuring that the party remains firmly grounded as it moves towards winning future political elections.
