Peter Obi, LP react, decry manifesto in circulation

by Salami Azeez

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has refuted the manifesto that has been circulating on social media sites and that is said to outline his objectives for the nation if he is elected in 2023.

The former governor of Anambra State said he would personally publish the manifesto when it is ready.

He said the one circulating on social media was a draft that made its way to the social networking sites and not the main copy.

Obi charged followers and the voting public to disregard the circulating document.

“We have not formally released our Manifesto.” Peter Obi added,  “I will do so personally.”

He further said, ‘It seems an earlier draft copy under review has made its way into the public space. Until I release the approved and final draft, please disregard what is being circulated.”

Also, the Director General of Obi-Datti Campaign Organization, Chief Doyin Okupe, also said the draft-making round on social media should be discarded.

Doyin said the document of the manifesto will be made public today (Monday) will be released later today after consultation.

Doyin said, “The Pact with Nigeria” the document that chronicles the 7 Governance Priorities of the Obi-Baba-Ahmed administration which will usher in our dream for a new Nigeria will be released later Today.

“Document currently in circulation is not official.”
