Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie has opened up about his current health challenges, revealing that he now struggles to walk and sometimes experiences swelling in parts of his body.

The actor made the disclosure while visiting fellow Ghanaian actor Emmanuel Armah at his residence in Accra, Ghana, on Thursday.

Edochie is currently in Ghana for the launch of the Pete Edochie Legacy Project, an initiative celebrating his contribution to African cinema and storytelling.

Pete Edochie Opens Up About His Health

During the visit, Edochie prayed with Armah and offered him financial support.

Speaking about his own condition, the veteran actor said walking had become difficult for him, although he remained hopeful that his situation would improve.

He also disclosed that he sometimes wakes up to find parts of his body swollen, with the swelling later subsiding.

The actor said he was currently dealing with swelling in one of his hands.

Despite these challenges, Pete Edochie said he remained hopeful about recovering and continued to place his faith in God.

The veteran actor also spoke about his wishes concerning the end of his life.

Edochie said he has been praying that whenever his time comes, God should take him without allowing him to become a burden to the people around him.

He made the comments while reflecting on his own health during his visit to Armah.

Edochie also expressed confidence that Armah would recover from his own health challenges.

He encouraged the Ghanaian actor to remain hopeful, saying he believed he would recover by the grace of God.
