Osas Ighodaro brought full bridal glamour to the Lagos premiere of A Mama Deola Wedding Story, turning heads in a custom couture gown by celebrated Nigerian designer Veekee James.

The actress and fashion favourite arrived at the premiere on Wednesday looking every inch the bride in a warm nude-and-ivory creation designed specifically for the occasion.

The fitted gown featured a sheer illusion corset bodice with structured boning, while crystal and pearl embellishments added sparkle to the look. Floral lace appliqués extended from the bodice down the floor-length skirt, creating an elegant, romantic finish.

Adding even more drama, the gown came with a sweeping chapel-length lace train that followed behind Osas as she walked the red carpet. She completed the bridal-inspired ensemble with a matching floor-length veil edged with delicate floral lace.

For her beauty look, Osas kept the focus firmly on the gown. She wore her hair in a sleek, high half-up ponytail, with loose waves cascading down and soft side-swept bangs framing her face.

Her makeup featured bronze tones, defined cat-eye liner, sculpted cheeks and a glossy nude-brown lip. Small crystal drop earrings provided a subtle finishing touch without competing with the elaborate gown.

The look continues the stylish fashion partnership between Osas and Veekee James, who have delivered several memorable red-carpet moments together.

A Mama Deola Wedding Story Premieres in Lagos

Beyond the fashion, the Lagos premiere celebrated the arrival of A Mama Deola Wedding Story, a feature-length comedy built around Folagade Banks’ popular Mama Deola character.

The movie follows the wedding of Demilola and Femi, with family drama, comic moments and the inevitable chaos that comes with a big Nigerian wedding.

Directed by Femi Adebayo, the film features Omowunmi Dada, Rotimi Salami, Shaffy Bello, Bukky Wright, Iya Rainbow, Erica Nlewedim, Toyin Abraham and Akin Lewis, among others.

The Lagos premiere was held on Wednesday, September 2, ahead of the film’s exclusive Kava release on September 3, 2026.

With its wedding-themed premiere, Osas Ighodaro certainly understood the assignment. Her Veekee James creation delivered the kind of dramatic bridal glamour that made her one of the standout fashion moments of the night.
