Five months after announcing his separation from his wife, Annie Macaulay Idibia, Nigerian music legend Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has publicly addressed his views on fidelity and monogamy in a candid interview.
Speaking on The Honest Bunch podcast hosted by media personality Nedu, 2Baba admitted to his inability to remain sexually faithful to one woman. When Nedu posed the question, “Is it possible to be loyal and be 2Face? Is it possible to be a loyal man to a woman?” the singer responded:
“I’ve said this before and got into trouble for it, but I didn’t care. Let me talk for myself, I won’t speak for other men. A man is not built to sexually be with one woman. A man can give his heart and love to one woman, but sexually, it’s impossible.”
2Baba’s remarks come after years of speculation and controversy surrounding his marriage. Before their split, Annie had on several occasions accused the singer of infidelity, revealing that he had five children with other women outside their marriage.
In a move that stirred further public reaction, the singer recently went public with his new partner, Natasha Osawuru, just days after the separation news made headlines.
