Okowa Didn’t Work Against Uduaghan’s Daughter’s Ambition – Delta Commissioner

by Salami Azeez

The Delta State Commissioner for Information, Mr Charles Aniagwu, has faulted claims that his principal, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, worked against some persons during the Peoples Democratic Party primary election in the state including Orode Uduaghan, daughter of a former governor, Emmanuel Uduaghan, in the state.

Aniagwu, who cleared the air on Monday while speaking to journalists in Asaba, said the governor had nothing against the daughter of the former governor.

He said, “Governor Okowa did not work against Uduaghan’s daughter. The former governor’s daughter is a staff of this administration and she is doing well in the job committed to her.

“For instance, if governor Okowa has something against her, he wouldn’t have given her political appointment.

“We encourage her to try her luck next time, you are aware that the Governor is not from her constituency for him to determine her victory”

On former member of the State House of Assembly, Mr. Evance Ivwurie, the commissioner said it was a mere politics of bitterness and hatred.

He said Ivwurie failed to return to the State Assembly on account of not being popular among his people and had since resorted to insulting the governor for no just cause. (Punch)
