Odumosu visits family of girl who was killed by stray bullet in Lagos

According to Citizen NewsNG reports earlier today, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu has paid a condolence visit to the bereaved family of a young girl, Monsurat Ojuade who was killed by stray bullet at a suburb of Lagos, Ijeshatedo on Saturday 11th September, 2021.

A Press Statement by the State Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Adekunle Ajisebutu, CP Odumosu led the delegation of top members of the Lagos State Police Command’s Management Team and other senior Officers.

CP Odumosu on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, Alkali Baba Usman, psc(+), fdc, NPM and officers of the State Command, condoled with the bereaved family.

“While expressing regret over the unfortunate incident, the Commissioner of Police prayed for the repose of Monsurat’s soul, and also prayed that God grant the bereaved family the fortitude to bear the great loss”, the statement partly read.

CP Odumosu also presented a letter of condolence to the family. He however reassured them of justice on the incident.

CP Odumosu stated further that the culprit, Sgt. Samuel Phillips had been arrested and he is currently undergoing orderly room trial.
