Obaseki mourns passing of Elder Friday Wokocha

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has mourned the passing of Elder Friday Akanwa Wokocha, describing him as “a quintessential gentleman and community leader who led a good, impactful life.”

In a statement, the governor said Elder Wokocha was a compassionate father and a devout family man, who led an exemplary life, contributing to the development of his immediate community.

“Elder Wokocha valued hard work and integrity, which are virtues he instilled in his children, preparing them for their foray into business and other life’s endeavours.

“He cared deeply for people and gave himself freely for the betterment of others. His humane and selfless disposition endeared him to many.

“Elder Wokocha will be remembered for his compassion, integrity and forthrightness.”The governor commiserated with the Wokocha family, and prayed that God grants all the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
