Pastor Femi Paul Leads Memorial Gathering
The memorial was officiated by Pastor Femi Paul, Head Pastor of Grace Assembly Church. He encouraged the family to celebrate Modupe’s life and find strength in their faith rather than allow grief to overshadow their memories of her.
“We will not mourn her grave like unbelievers. We know that she has moved to the next level,” the cleric said.
He also prayed for God to strengthen the family and grant them grace as they continue to cope with the loss of their wife, mother, sister and friend.
Mike Dada Pays Emotional Tribute to Late Wife
Mike Dada, President and Executive Producer of AFRIMA, remembered his late wife as an exceptional woman whose forgiving nature and genuine love helped shape his life.
He said having Modupe as his wife was a blessing and credited her with helping him become a better person.
“Modupe was an angel in human form. Her capacity to forgive was extraordinary, and I have never seen anyone with that level of forgiveness,” he said.
The AFRIMA president added that his wife taught him important lessons about patience, understanding and showing love and respect without expecting anything in return.
Dada, who also heads PRM Africa Marketing and Communications Limited, admitted that the two years since her death had been difficult.
He spoke about the emotional and practical challenges of raising their children and managing family responsibilities without his partner.
Husband Recalls Wife’s 48 Days in Coma
Dada also reflected on the painful circumstances surrounding Modupe’s illness, revealing that she spent 48 days in a coma before she died.
He said the experience had changed his perspective on grief, family and the importance of appreciating loved ones while they are still alive.
The loss has also inspired him to consider documenting his experience in a book to help others understand grief and the lessons that can emerge from difficult personal experiences.
“I have been thinking about writing a book to document this experience, including the 48 days of pain, the loss and everything the experience has taught me,” he said.
He expressed hope that sharing his journey could encourage people to value their relationships and demonstrate love more sincerely.
