Music legend Lionel Richie has reportedly been hospitalized in an intensive care unit after experiencing health difficulties following his concert in St. Louis, Missouri, on Saturday.
The 77-year-old singer checked himself into a local hospital for medical tests, according to a report by TMZ on Monday. The outlet reported that doctors were investigating his condition, with slight dehydration among the possible concerns.
Richie reportedly struggled to make it through the final moments of the concert. Witnesses told TMZ that the singer asked for a chair while performing his closing song, “All Night Long,” allowing him to sit as he continued the performance.
Richie’s representative had not publicly commented on the reported hospitalization at the time of publication.
The latest health scare comes just weeks after the four-time Grammy winner became ill during a concert in Minnesota.

In June, Richie was performing at the Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul during the opening night of his 26-city North American tour with Earth, Wind & Fire when he appeared to become dizzy and had to sit down several times while performing “Dancing on the Ceiling.”
At the time, Richie told the audience, “When you’re feeling dizzy, sit your ass down.”
He later took an intermission, leaving his band onstage to entertain the crowd for roughly 15 minutes. Nearly an hour later, saxophonist Dino Soldo informed fans that the concert would be canceled because Richie was “not feeling well.”
Following the incident, Richie postponed two additional performances in Chicago and Columbus, Ohio, after doctors advised him to rest and recover.
The singer later reassured fans about his condition. In an Instagram post shared in July, Richie thanked supporters for their messages and said he was doing well.
“Thank you for every message, every kind word, and for all your love,” he wrote. “I’m doing well, and I’m grateful for all of you.”
Richie’s reported hospitalization in St. Louis has now raised fresh concerns among fans as he continues his busy touring schedule alongside Earth, Wind & Fire.
