Jubilations as Etsu Nupe Elevates AIG Manko to New Giyan Nupe
The Etsu Nupe, Alhaji Dr. Yahaya Abubakar CFR has turbaned AIG Abubakar Manko (retd.) as new Giyan Nupe.
The occasion was held on Sunday, 31st December, 2023 at the Emir Palace in Bidda.
The Etsu Nupe Alhaji Dr. Yahaya Abubakar CFR has tasked the newly turbaned Giyan Nupe to be dedicated and committed while discharging his responsibility as the representative of the Emirate and as a Royal blessing person.
Etsu Nupe said the Emirate decided to elevate him from the title of Wachinbe to the Giyan Nupe based on his continued loyalty, right obedience, and character which has made him stand tall among others.
He said the Emirate is aware of his good track of achievements in all places he worked and is very proud of his sterling qualities of stewardship. The Etsu therefore urged him not to relent in being a good ambassador of the emirate and to continue to demonstrate good attributes to make the emirate proud.
The Emir appreciated all those that graced the turbaning ceremony from far and near, especially outside the State.
Speaking with people in appreciation after his turbanning ceremony, the new Giyan Nupe said he accepted the title wholeheartedly stressing that he considers the recognition a great honour, given the importance of the title in the context of development both within and outside the Bida Emirate.
The new Giyan sought the support and cooperation of all and sundry in the new task ahead of him.
Nupe Center learned that AIG Abubakar Manko Rtd. who is new Giyan Nupe has been doing well to see KinNupe succeed and to improve the living of people. During his service a lot of developments both human and capital were recorded tremendously.
He is a member of the Masaba Royal Family, one of the greatest dynasties in the history of the Nupe Kingdom.
