How Tinubu can solve Nigeria’s problems – YPP chieftain

A chieftain of the Young Progressives Party, Buraimoh Peter on Tuesday advised the new president of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu to collaborate with aggrieved political parties and groups in other to tackle the problems bedeviling Nigeria.

Buraimoh in a press statement obtained by our correspondent in Abuja also called on Nigerians to collaborate with Tinubu.
The PUNCH reports that Tinubu, 71, of the All Progressives Congress was on Monday, May 29, 2023, sworn in as the fifth democratically elected president of Nigeria since the country’s return to democracy in 1999.
Buraimoh however in the statement also expressed optimism that Tinubu would replicate “his notable achievements in Lagos in Nigeria at large.”

“The President needs to work with all aggrieved politicians and groups in other to tackle the myriad of problems facing Nigeria and the citizens. I am particularly optimistic that he will replicate his achievements as a former governor of Lagos state in Nigeria at large.
“Nigeria has changed, change has come. On the 29th of May, we experienced change, and it will be a permanent change. The transformation that has occurred in Lagos will be replicated.”
During the presidential elections held on February 25, Tinubu defeated his opponents with a wide margin, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Peter Obi of the Labour Party by scoring 8.7 million votes. He garnered over 25 per cent of the votes cast in 30 states, more than the 24 states constitutionally required and was declared the president-elect by the Independent National Electoral Commission on March 1, 2023.
