Billionaire businessman Abdul Samad Rabiu has described his rare entry into the Holy Kaaba alongside President Bola Tinubu as a once-in-a-lifetime blessing and an honour he will cherish forever.
The Chairman of BUA Group shared his experience in a Facebook post on Sunday night, accompanied by a photograph of himself with the Nigerian president.
Expressing his gratitude, Rabiu said the spiritual experience was beyond words and would remain permanently etched in his memory.
He wrote:
“Some moments in life are beyond words, moments that touch the soul and remain forever engraved in the heart.
“Alhamdulillah, today I was profoundly humbled and blessed to be among those granted the extraordinary honour of entering the Holy Kaaba alongside His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
“It was a once-in-a-lifetime blessing, an honour beyond measure, and a moment of divine grace that will remain etched in my heart for as long as I live.”
Rabiu described the experience as a moment of deep reflection, gratitude and renewed faith in Allah’s mercy.
He also revealed that his prayers inside the sacred structure extended beyond his family to the entire country.
He prayed for lasting peace, unity and prosperity in Nigeria, asking Almighty Allah to accept their prayers and bless the nation.
Why Entry Into the Holy Kaaba Is a Rare Privilege
The Holy Kaaba, located within the Grand Mosque in Makkah, holds the highest spiritual significance in Islam.
Access to its interior remains highly restricted. The door opens only on rare occasions, with dignitaries and special guests requiring permission from the Saudi Royal Court.
Rabiu was among the delegation that accompanied Tinubu to Makkah for Umrah, the lesser pilgrimage, on Friday.
Other members included Oando Group Chief Executive Officer Wale Tinubu, several state governors and senior government officials.
According to the Presidency, Tinubu performed the Umrah rites early Friday at Masjid al-Haram, where he circled the Holy Kaaba and offered prayers for Nigeria.
His prayers focused on national peace, unity, stability and economic prosperity.
Rabiu Pledges Business Community’s Support for Tinubu
During a dinner organised in Makkah on Saturday for members of the presidential delegation, Tinubu expressed hope that Nigeria’s diversity would become a source of prosperity and national development.
Rabiu also used the occasion to reaffirm the business community’s support for the administration. He thanked the president for the opportunity to share in the rare spiritual experience.
Speaking after completing the Umrah, Tinubu told journalists that he felt fulfilled and described the pilgrimage as a deeply spiritual experience.
The president also emphasised the importance of praying for lasting peace and unity across Nigeria.
Tinubu is expected to return to Nigeria this week.
