The Nigerian Army has declared Ifeanyi Eze Okorienta, popularly known as ‘Gentle The Yahoo,’ wanted and announced a ₦30 million reward for information leading to his arrest.
The declaration was made under Operation Udoka by the Joint Task Force South-East, which described the wanted man as a threat to peace and security in the region.
In a wanted notice, the military appealed to members of the public to provide credible information that could help security agencies locate and apprehend him.
The Army said anyone whose information directly leads to his capture will receive the ₦30 million reward.
It also urged residents across the South-East to support ongoing efforts to tackle violence and criminal activities in the region.
The security operation was accompanied by the message, “Give Peace a Chance,” as authorities encouraged members of the public to assist security agencies.
Anyone with credible information about the whereabouts of Gentle The Yahoo has been advised to contact the relevant security authorities through 193 or 0806 795 9570.
The Army said informants may provide information anonymously.
Authorities have urged the public to avoid taking the law into their own hands and instead pass relevant information to security agencies.
