BREAKING: Former Speaker, Ghali Na’Abba, Dies at 65

Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Ghali Umar Na’Abba, has been reported dead.

He passed on at the age of 65 at the National Hospital, Abuja.

PRNigeria gathered from reliable sources that the Kano-born politician has been bedridden for some time.

According to a source that is familiar with the tragedy, Na’Abba succumbed to illness in the wee hours of Wednesday.

The charismatic politician was a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) when he served as a member and later Speaker of the House of Representatives.

He defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) years after the PDP lost power at the federal level in 2015.

Na’Abba had in 2022 rejoined the PDP and described the APC as evil, predicting that Nigerians would punish the ruling party in the February 2023 general elections.

Details later.
