As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) interventions, Access Bank Plc has commissioned a school it rebuilt and equipped with computer, generator and water facilities for the Ajofa Special Education Foundation for the Deaf (ASEFfD), in Mowe, Ogun State,
Speaking during the project commissioning, the Executive Director for the Business Banking Division, Access Bank, Mrs. Chizoma Okoli, said that the lender was glad to be identified with this laudable project, which fits into the bank’s agenda to touch lives, reach out and show love to the needy.
Okoli said that the CSR project was meant to restore hope and provide adequate learning facilities that are suited for the student’s special needs, improve the leaving condition of the students in their hostels and prepare them for easy integration into the society that would inadvertently reduce street begging and crimes.
“In addition to the school building project, we have also provided the foundation with a borehole, water treatment plant, generating set, a new HP Desktop Computer with a complete three dual functions of printing, scanning and photocopying.
“I make bold to say that the building project is right for full utilization by students of the school. We also assure the school that we will continue to support initiatives and the quest to meet the educational and vocational needs of the hearing impaired,” she said.
The Principal of the ASEFfD, Mr. Francis Ajomiwe, said that it was a great pleasure to witness the commissioning of the new building that was erected and donated to the school by the Access Bank.
