In a recent interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Lagos, Nigerian Afro-juju maestro, Shina Peters, shared his perspective on Valentine’s Day, describing it as an opportunity for Nigerians to reflect on God’s unconditional love and sacrifices.
Peters, who was ordained a Bishop in the Cherubim and Seraphim Church of God in 2021, emphasized that love is not confined to romantic relationships, but extends to our connection with a higher power. He encouraged Nigerians to use the occasion to renew their commitment to their faith and strengthen their relationship with God as a true expression of love.
Shina Peters urged Nigerians to place love for God at the forefront of their hearts. He explained, “As we celebrate Valentine’s Day, let us take a moment to reflect on the transformative power of love and appreciate the divine guidance that shapes our lives.” He added, “By prioritizing love for God, we can cultivate a deeper sense of purpose, gratitude, and compassion.”
The juju music icon revealed that he would be performing at two separate events in celebration of Valentine’s Day, which has become a prominent cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of love worldwide.
The energetic legend also told NAN that he would use the opportunity to encourage revelers to rededicate their lives to God.
Valentine’s Day, also known as St. Valentine’s Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is celebrated annually on February 14.
