Addressing the situation during a recent live performance, Pasuma provided a detailed account of what transpired.

“About what happened in Ikire, I have so many committed fans there, but there’s no town without a few bad elements,” he said.

According to the singer, he had been invited to perform at a hall in Ikire, but the turnout exceeded expectations. “The crowd was more than half of the whole town. They all came out to see me physically,” he explained.

Due to the overwhelming number of attendees, a large screen was set up outside the venue to accommodate fans who couldn’t get in. However, the situation turned chaotic when some in the crowd refused to remain outside.

“When the security prevented them from entering, the bad boys among them started stoning. It was the stone that broke the windscreen of my Hilux and Hummer bus. There was no shooting,” Pasuma clarified, dispelling earlier rumors of gunfire.

In the viral video, a voice was heard exclaiming, “We have been attacked in Ikire. They carry guns and shoot us, see Pasuma’s car. But God dey,” further fueling public concern at the time.

Pasuma’s statement aims to calm his fans and correct the narrative surrounding the incident. Despite the attack, the veteran performer remains unfazed and continues to engage with his supporters across the country.
