It’s the season of celebration and the music industry isn’t left out. In the same spirit, All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), is set to hold it’s 9th Edition and Nigerian rapper Falz and Senegalese’ Liliane Maroune are to headline the award ceremony.

AFRIMA is an award ceremony that organized by the Lagos State Government in partnership with the African Union Commission, to celebrate African musicians with outstanding performances annually.
The 9th Edition of the ceremony will hold in Lagos from 7th January 2026, to 11th January 2026.
Falz whose birth name is Folarin Falana, has been appointed alongside Senegalese TV host, Liliane Maroune to host the event.
Falz’ appointment makes it the second time a Nigerian will be headlining AFRIMA.
First it was Tuface Idibia headlining the inaugural edition of the award in 2014, now Falz. This is a major milestone for the Nigerian music industry at large.
