Kendrick Lamar Duckworth, one of the most influential American rappers of his generation, dominated the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, held on January 2, 2025, winning five prestigious awards. Born on June 17, 1987, Lamar has now accumulated a total of 22 Grammy Awards, with his recent wins bringing him closer to this impressive milestone.

His hit single, Not Like Us, earned him awards in five major categories: Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, and Best Music Video, bringing his career total to 20 Grammy wins.

Beyond his music career, Lamar starred in the animated biographical film Piece by Piece (2024). Additionally, he signed on to produce a comedy feature with Free, Trey Parker, and Matt Stone for Paramount Pictures, which is set to release on July 4, 2025.

Drake’s father, Dennis Graham, shared his thoughts on Kendrick Lamar’s diss track, Not Like Us, which won two of the evening’s biggest awards. When asked about it by TikToker Joy of Everything, Graham responded dismissively, saying, “I don’t care enough about that s–t.”

Despite the controversy surrounding the song, Kendrick Lamar, who has achieved both critical acclaim and commercial success, made no mention of Drake while accepting his awards during the ceremony.

Since its release in 2024, Not Like Us has been a commercial success, significantly boosting Lamar’s financial fortune.
