A shooting incident occurred outside the home of pop star Rihanna on Sunday after a woman allegedly fired multiple gunshots at the property, according to police.
Authorities said officers responded to reports of gunfire around 1:21 p.m. in the Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood of Los Angeles. A 30-year-old woman was later arrested in connection with the incident. A law enforcement source confirmed that Rihanna was inside the house at the time the shots were fired.
Police reported that the suspect discharged several rounds from inside her vehicle toward the singer’s residence. At least one bullet struck the wall of the mansion. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
According to radio dispatch communications, the suspect fired about ten shots from a vehicle parked across the street from the home’s gate. The car, described as a white Tesla, reportedly drove south on Coldwater Canyon Drive shortly after the shooting.
Officers quickly began searching for the vehicle while sharing details about the suspect over police radio. She was described as having braided hair and wearing a cream-colored blouse, and her car was noted to be dirty along the lower section.
A police helicopter eventually located the vehicle and followed it to a shopping center parking lot in Sherman Oaks. Officers arrested the woman there roughly 30 minutes after the initial 911 call. During a search of the car, police said they recovered an assault-style rifle along with seven spent shell casings.
Investigators later found bullet damage on the gate of the property and on a recreational vehicle parked in the driveway.
Rihanna reportedly lives in the Beverly Hills-area mansion with her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky. The couple share three children: sons RZA and Riot, and a daughter named Rocki. It remains unclear whether any other family members were present when the shooting occurred.
The incident adds to previous security concerns involving the singer. In 2018, a man identified as Eduardo Leon broke into Rihanna’s home in the Hollywood Hills and stayed inside for nearly 12 hours before being discovered by her assistant. He later pleaded no contest to stalking charges.
