The All Progressives Congress has extended the deadline for the sale and submission of nomination forms for its upcoming Zonal Congress and National Convention.
In a statement released on Tuesday in Abuja through the party’s official X account, the National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, announced that the new window for purchasing and returning forms will run from March 12 to March 23, 2026.
The party emphasized that while the timeframe for form sales has been adjusted, the previously fixed dates for the actual events remain unchanged. According to the statement, the Zonal Congress is still scheduled for March 25, 2026, while the National Convention will take place from March 26 to March 27, 2026, as earlier planned.
Additionally, the APC disclosed a change of venue for the South-South Zonal Congress, which will now be held in Asaba, Delta State.
The party confirmed that it has formally notified the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of the updates, in line with legal requirements.
Members and stakeholders were advised to take note of the revised dates and make the necessary preparations.
The latest adjustment follows earlier modifications to the party’s 2026 timetable, including ward congresses and other preliminary activities, as part of efforts to promote wider participation and ensure a seamless process in electing new zonal and national executives ahead of the next election cycle.
