Recently, Ayra Starr revealed on her X handle that she hopes her mother never listens to the second verse of her new collaboration with Wizkid.

The Afrobeats sensation admitted that there’s a part of the song she’d rather keep away from her mom’s ears. She wrote, “Hopefully my mom never listens to my second verse.”

In that verse—which samples Wyclef Jean and Mary J. Blige’s 2000 classic ‘911’—Ayra reflects on how many men seem to watch her for the wrong reasons.

On the track ‘Gimme Dat’, she boldly commands a man to let her “survey” his private parts.

She sings: “So many people wan lick my stew, so baby chill make I survey your tools… and if I handle your 2 by 2, you fit to scream, you go lose your cool.”

The verse quickly stirred reactions from listeners. While many applauded her bold artistry, others felt her delivery was a bit “too raw.”
