Hon. Oluwole Oke, a seasoned politician and six-term member of the House of Representatives, has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Oke, who has represented the Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in Osun State since 2003, confirmed his departure on Wednesday through a brief statement: “I have resigned from the PDP.”
This decision, according to the lawmaker, was made after a series of extensive consultations with his political associates, close friends, and family. In a formal letter dated April 16, 2025, Oke addressed the PDP Chairman of Ward 7, Obokun Local Government Area in Osun State, officially announcing his resignation.
While Oke has not yet revealed his next political steps, he has urged his supporters and loyalists to follow suit and leave the PDP, advising them to await further instructions.
