2Baba Officially Introduces Natasha Osawaru to Idoma Traditional Leaders and Hometown Community
Renowned Nigerian music legend Innocent Ujah Idibia, better known as 2Baba or 2Face Idibia, has taken a significant step in his personal life. On Monday, he officially introduced his fiancée, Honourable Natasha Osawaru, to the Idoma traditional leadership and his hometown community in a culturally rich and meaningful ceremony.
The event, held at the Och’Idoma Palace in Otukpo, during the Idoma Nation Peace and Unity Symposium, was a formal introduction of Natasha to the Idoma people. This gesture not only reinforced 2Baba’s commitment to her but also sought the blessings of his community and ancestral leaders.
2Baba, who was born in Jos, Plateau State, but hails from Benue State, is one of Africa’s most celebrated musicians. He gained fame in the early 2000s as a member of the iconic group Plantashun Boiz before embarking on a wildly successful solo career. His hit song “African Queen” became an anthem across the continent and beyond, cementing his place in the music industry.
After the palace ceremony, 2Baba and Natasha traveled to Okpokwu, 2Baba’s ancestral hometown in Benue State, where they received a warm welcome from locals. This moment marked another milestone in their relationship, as they continue to blend personal and cultural significance in their journey together.
However, 2Baba’s journey in love has not always been smooth. His past marriage to actress Annie Idibia has been the subject of public interest and media scrutiny over the years. The couple, who married in 2012, faced challenges that many were aware of, including infidelity rumors and emotional struggles. Despite their on-and-off relationship, they share two beautiful daughters and a complex history.
