In June 2022, JJC Skillz announced his separation from actress Funke Akindele via his Instagram page. The estranged couple, who got married in 2016, welcomed their twins in 2018.
Renowned Nigerian actress Funke Akindele has since accused her estranged husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, popularly known as JJC Skillz, of neglecting his responsibilities toward their children.
Reflecting on her challenges during the 2023 elections, Akindele shared that she battled depression following the death of her mother. At the time, JJC Skillz stated, “I’m making this announcement to inform the public that we are both pursuing separate lives. There are still matters to resolve, such as the custody and well-being of our children, as well as business interests that need to be sorted out. However, I believe these issues will be resolved in due course.”
In a recent interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Akindele revealed that she is solely responsible for raising their children.
