In a recent interview on Just Vibes, Skales discussed the lower crime rate in Nigeria, attributing it to the presence of extrajudicial punishments. He pointed out that criminals in Nigeria are aware of the severe consequences they may face if caught, unlike those in the UK, where punishments are often less immediate. However, Skales clarified that he does not support or encourage jungle justice due to its unlawful nature.
“There is less crime in Nigeria compared to the UK because criminals know that if they get caught, they may face jungle justice. They burn you alive,” he said.
Additionally, Skales shared his thoughts on afrobeats, noting that the genre cannot be defined by a single sound. He emphasized that afrobeats is more of an umbrella term encompassing various musical styles, rather than a strict genre.
