The Grammy- winning Wizkid recently revealed that his favorite artist is none other than Fuji legend Wasiu Ayinde, also known as K1 De Ultimate.
The afrobeats superstar artist shared this during a light-hearted interview with the children of the Fuji maestro at his Ijebu Ode residence, where he had paid a condolence visit following the passing of Wasiu Ayinde’s mother.
When asked who his favorite musician was, aside from himself, Wizkid enthusiastically named Wasiu Ayinde, calling him “his favorite artist in the universe.” Wizkid even honored Wasiu Ayinde’s influence by sampling part of his performance in the opening track of his recently released sixth album, Morayo.
During the conversation with the Fuji icon’s children, Wizkid was also asked which of his cars he prized most. The singer chose his latest acquisition, the McLaren 750S, which is valued at over 500 million naira. He went on to praise Wasiu Ayinde for using his music to inspire generations, including his own.
