Following US strikes in Nigeria, The Nigeria Police Force has made some shocking revelations. The force says it does know certain things about the United States airstrikes on terrorists’ in Sokoto State.
The force through it’s public relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin was a guest on ‘Politics Today’, a programme on Channels Television, stated that the police decided to leave some matters for the military to handle.
Hundeyin said,
“The police engage a lot in intelligent sharing, not just gathering. Yes, as a Police Force, we know certain things about U.S. strikes in Nigeria, but we don’t want to talk about it. We would rather leave it as a defence matter for the military to address.
“We also got the information about the debris of the US operation extending to Offa in Kwara State. We immediately deployed our men there to ensure that people remain safe and do not toy with those things
“So, we rendered the area safe. As far as that is concerned, we were on ground to ensure there was absolute safety for people.”
