U.S. Launches Coordinated Strike on Iranian Nuclear Facilities — Trump Declares ‘Spectacular Military Success’
In a dramatic escalation of hostilities between the United States and Iran, the U.S. military on Saturday launched a large-scale coordinated assault on several key Iranian nuclear facilities. The operation, which targeted what American officials described as critical components of Iran’s nuclear program, marks one of the most significant military engagements in the region in recent years.
A senior U.S. defense official confirmed that B-2 stealth bombers were deployed in the mission, dropping Massive Ordnance Penetrator (MOP) bombs — specialized “bunker buster” munitions designed to destroy heavily fortified underground structures. The use of MOPs indicates that the strikes were aimed at deeply buried nuclear installations.
In a televised address to the nation following the strikes, President Donald Trump hailed the mission as a “spectacular military success,” stating that the operation was “carefully and precisely executed” to neutralize what he described as imminent threats to both regional and global stability.
In addition to the air assault, the U.S. Navy was also engaged in the operation. A submarine positioned in nearby waters reportedly launched multiple Tomahawk cruise missiles at secondary targets inside Iranian territory, further expanding the scope of the offensive.
As of press time, the full scale of the damage remains unclear, and Iran’s official response has yet to be issued. However, the strikes are expected to provoke significant geopolitical fallout and could lead to renewed instability in an already volatile Middle East.
