South African singer, Tyla has done it again as she beats singers Davido, Burna Boy and Ayra Starr to win the Best African Music Performance award at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
Tyla eon the category with her song, “Push 2 Start” while Burna Boy’s “Love”, Davido’s “With You” featuring Omah Lay, Ayra Starr and Wizkid’s “Gimme Dat” and Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin’s “Hope & Love” lost the category.
This makes it tge second time Tyla won the Grammy Awards over Nigerian artiste in the category since its introduction in 2024. In 2024 she won the same category with her breakthrough song, “Water”.
