An accident, two deaths and one injured. 2025 has been an busy year with lots of good and bad. However a couple of days to the close of the year, tragedy hits Nigerian heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua.
Anthony Joshua and his’ close friends also known as his coaches, Latz and Sina, were involved in a car crash. The fatal accident claimed the lives of his coaches while Anthony Joshua got away with injuries.
Though Latz is AJ’ personal trainer, while two weeks ago, Sina coached AJ for his fight with Jake.
Before the car crash, AJ, Sina and Latz were together earlier yesterday, having good time. However the saying nobody knows who is next to die or when their last moment will be.
The scenes from the accident has generated lots of controversies, this is because AJ got away with little bruises. From the footage where his fan gathered to give condolences his skin was unruptured.
This has generated mixed reactions online as to the reason an accident that claimed theife of two of his associates, he escaped with injuries.
Amidst social media reactions, the president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reached out to Anthony Joshua and his mother.
“I spoke with AJ on the phone to personally convey my condolences over the death of his two associates. I wished him well and prayed for him. He assured me that he is receiving the best care in the hospital. I also spoke with AJ’s mother and prayed for her. She was very appreciative of my call”, President Tinubu’ words.
The accident which claimed Latz and Sina’ lives occurred in Lagos -Ibadan express way. AJ being an indigene of Ogun state was also visited by the Ogun state governor, Mr Dapo Abiodun.
