The remains of Latz and Sina, coaches to Nigeria’s heavyweight boxer, Anthony Joshua, have been returned home for burial.
It was earlier reported that Anthony Joshua and his coaches were involved in a ghastly accident on December 29, 2025, on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The SUV in which they were travelling in colluded with a trailer.
Anthony’ coaches Latz and Sina died on the spot, while the heavyweight champion was hospitalized. The duo were both 36 years old as at the time of their death.
Latz has been Joshua’s sports and exercise rehabilitation coach for over a decade, while Sina served as his personal fitness coach.
The remains of the two left Nigeria on Wednesday night aboard a Turkish Airlines flight. Joshua however visited the funeral home to pay his last respect to Layz and Sina before their bodies departed.
