Popular radio broadcaster, Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat has publicly declared his intention to contest for Oyo Governorship seat in the 2027 general elections. He revealed that he will be contesting under the Accord Party.
At a public event on Saturday, Oriyomi Hamzat who is the founder of Agidigbo FM stated that he will not campaign for anyone in the 2027 general elections. Instead he will in the gubernatorial election under the Accord Party.
His words,
“I am publicly declaring today that in 2027.
I will not campaign for anyone or mobilise crowds for anyone.
“I will contest in the gubernatorial election under the Accord Party.”
Oriyomi Hamzat has been a radio broadcaster for many years and has amassed lots of fans. In recent years he has used his radio station to campaign for other political office contestants.
This time around he is doing the unusual by stepping away from offering people support and contesting for the Oyo State governorship seat.
