Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, who is in a relationship with Priscilla Ojo, the daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, has shared the story of how he first met his wife. Their love story, however, started in an unexpected way at an airport in Rwanda.
During a surprise second engagement party in Tanzania on Wednesday, Juma Jux recalled the moment he first laid eyes on Priscilla. He remembered missing his flight and not being able to secure a business-class seat on the next available flight. Feeling frustrated, he walked through the business class section and saw her laughing at him.
“The first time I saw Priscilla in Rwanda, I missed my flight and couldn’t get a business-class seat because it was full. I was upset, and when I passed through the business class area, I saw her laughing at me,” he shared.
Despite feeling an immediate attraction to her, Jux revealed that winning her over was no easy task. He explained that she played hard to get, even after taking his number.
“I wasn’t concerned about anything else because I was focused on my goal. I had always been mindful of my brand, but none of that mattered when it came to her. As we kept meeting, I realized she was the woman I had been waiting for. God brought everything together at the perfect time,” he said.
Jux went on to explain that while Priscilla took his number, she didn’t text him, and when he reached out to her, she didn’t reply. “In East Africa, I have fans and people recognize me, but when she was around, it was just the two of us,” he said.
The couple recently celebrated their Islamic traditional wedding in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, last Friday. Jux emphasized that after spending time together, he became certain that Priscilla was the woman he was destined to marry.
Priscilla, on her part, expressed gratitude to God for blessing her with Jux as her husband. She described their marriage as a lifelong commitment and shared how their love story inspires others to believe in the possibility of achieving a similar bond.
“This love story inspires others, making them believe that if we can achieve it, they can too. My story will be different because God has already aligned it. This is the path He has set, and no one can change that,” she said.
